Set up a connector

Connect Gmail, Figma, Notion or another service step by step, and fix a connection that stopped.

A connector lets Pufy work with a service you use, through your own account. You sign in once, on the service's own page.

Find the connector

  1. Open the menu (top left), then tap the gear button at the bottom left to open Settings.
  2. Tap Agents settings, then Connectors. The connectors button in the writing field opens the same page.
  3. Look under Featured, tap View all next to a section, or type in Search connectors.

Connect it

  1. Tap Connect next to the service. It moves to Installed.
  2. Tap Connect next to it again to open its page.
  3. Under Connection, tap Connect. The service's own sign-in page opens.
  4. Sign in and allow access. Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive open a Google sign-in.
  5. Back in Pufy, the connection says Connected.

You can also just ask, for example "connect my Gmail". Pufy shows a card with Connect, which opens the same page.

Use it

Ask in any chat, for example "what is on my calendar tomorrow?" Pufy picks the connector itself; there is nothing to mention.

  • Reading through Gmail, Google Calendar or Google Drive runs on its own.
  • Every other connector asks with a card before each of its tools runs, reads included. The card shows Goes to a service you connected and everything Pufy will send. Tap Approve or Don't do it.
  • On a connector's page, Tools lists what it can do, each marked Reads only or Asks first.
  • In a temporary chat, Pufy uses only the tools marked Reads only.

Turn it off or remove it

  • On the connector's page, turn off Use this plugin to stop Pufy using it. You stay signed in.
  • Remove plugin deletes it with its sign-in, and Pufy asks the service to revoke its access where the service allows it. This can't be undone.

On Android the switch is On, the button is Remove connector, and tools are marked Only reads or Asks you first.

When it stops working

  • Needs you to sign in again: the sign-in ran out. Open the connector and tap Reconnect.
  • Couldn't connect: tap Reconnect. If it says the tools couldn't be read, try Reconnect once more.
  • The sign-in was cancelled: access was not allowed on the service's page. Tap Connect and allow access.
  • You already have 10 connectors: remove one first.
  • The Connect button is grey: turn on Use this plugin first.

Add a server by its address

With Pufy+, tap Add by URL at the bottom of Connectors and paste the server's address, starting with https://. Pufy asks with a card before every one of its tools runs.

Under 18

Connectors need a linked parent; without one, none are listed. Tap Ask my parent; the connector shows Waiting until your parent approves. Add by URL is not available to people under 18. See Family and teens.
