Approval cards: Pufy asks first
How approval cards work, what needs one and what runs on its own.
When Pufy wants to do something that sends, books or changes something outside Pufy, it shows a card first. Nothing happens until you approve it.
Answer a card
- Read the card. It shows exactly what Pufy will do: who it goes to, the words, the time, the page. Tap Details for everything.
- Tap Approve to go ahead, or Don't do it to stop it.
- Pufy tells you the result. It only says something is done once it really is.
What needs a card
- Changing an existing calendar event, and opening a message or email.
- Signing in, sending a form with personal details or booking on a website.
- Any tool of a connected service that does more than read.
- Saving a skill, creating an automation or a price watch.
What runs on its own
- Reading and searching: web searches, pages, and your calendar or contacts when you allowed it.
- Drafting text for you.
- Adding a reminder, ticking one off, or adding an event nobody else is invited to. If Pufy has just read a web page in that answer, these ask first too.
- Pufy's own notes and to-dos. These show a card with Undo instead, for 7 days.
Good to know
- A card waits 15 minutes. After that it runs out; ask again for a new one.
- If the details changed after the card was made, the card is refused and nothing is done.
- In voice chat, say "yes" to approve or "no" to decline.
- Pufy does not pay for anything. A card that would spend money cannot be approved.
- Questions from the API and runs of automations can make cards too. They wait in the app for you; a key or an automation can never approve one.
- Approving cards is part of Pufy+.
